Product Management

Managing products effectively is key to success on Parler Shop. Follow these steps to add, optimize, and manage your product inventory.

Adding a New Product

  1. Access the Product Dashboard:
    • From your vendor dashboard, click on Products in the left menu.
    • Click the Add New Product button at the top right corner.
  2. Fill Product Details:
    • Product Title: Add the product name.
    • Price: Enter the product price and optional discounted price.
    • Upload Image: Click the image placeholder and upload a high-quality product image.
    • Category: Select the appropriate product category or create a new one.
    • Tags: Add tags to enhance search visibility.
  3. Set a Featured Image:
    • Upload a primary image for your product and add alt text for SEO.

Optimizing Product Details

  1. Select Product Type:
    • Simple: Standard product.
    • Variable: Products with variations (e.g., size, color).
    • External/Affiliate: Links to external products.
    • Grouped: Bundled items.
  2. Short Description:Write a brief product summary.
  3. Long Description: Provide detailed product information about the product.
  4. Manage Inventory:
    • Add an SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) for tracking
    • Set the Stock Status:
      1. In Stock
      2. Out of Stock
      3. On Backorder
    • Enable Product Stock Management to automatically manage inventory based on sales.
    • Allow only one quantity per order if needed.
  5. Configure Shipping & Taxes:
    • Enter product weight and dimensions.
    • Choose or override Shipping Classes.
    • Set Tax Status and Tax Classbased on your product category.
  6. Add Linked Products:
    • Upsells: Recommend premium alternatives.
    • Cross-sells: Suggest complementary products.
  7. Set Attributes:
    • Add custom attributes like color and size.
  8. Adjust Additional Options:
    • Set theProduct Statusas online or draft.
    • Adjust Visibility to ensure the product appears in search results.
    • Add aPurchase Notefor customers to receive in their order email.
    • Enable or disable product reviews.
  9. Saving and Managing Products
    • Save Changes:Click Save Product after entering all details.
    • Edit Products:Return to the product dashboard and select a product to update information.
